Halogen Lamps: Dichroic vs. Aluminized Coatings
Dichroic
- Dichroic coatings allow IR and other wavelengths to pass through the back of the reflector to reduce temperature and select wavelengths of light.
Aluminized
- Aluminized coatings have a high reflectivity and provide excellent broadband reflectance in both the visible and infrared spectrum.
- Aluminized deposition provides a consistent coverage of the reflector.
- Aluminized coating has a high thermal stability for heating elements.
